Massage
Therapy & Acupressure (Shiatsu)
Services
-
Swedish Massage
Relaxing and Nurturing.
This uses gentle to medium pressure on the superficial layers
of the muscles for general relaxation of your whole body. It helps
to increase circulation, flush the lactic acid, uric acid, and other
metabolic wastes, and reduces stress, both emotional and physical.
Oil or other lubricant is used to reduce friction during the Swedish
massage or you can bring your own favorite oil for the session.
- Deep Tissue (Neuromuscular
Therapy/Trigger Point/Myofascial Therapy)
Anatomically specific and Therapeutic.
For people who want their chronic muscle tension
to be addressed in the session. Slowly and gently work into deep layers
of muscle tissue by using slower strokes and more direct deep pressure
or friction. Client's cooperation with breathing and movement are encouraged
to release tension of muscle.
- Shiatsu Massage
Ultimate Bodymind Experience. The
ancient art of hands-on healing. The work is known for bringing you
to your inner core or center by opening up blockages of energy flow
(Chi flow). Acupressure stimulates related points in your system to
release your tension. The pressure applied is firm yet gentle.
- Reflexology
Refreshing and Balancing. Thumb
or finger pressure is applied to neurological-reflex points found on
the feet which corresponds to parts of body. Working on the reflex point
would stimulate the corresponding parts of the body or internal organ
to restore normal function and health.
- Stone Massage (sorry, currently not available)
Welcoming and Soothing.
Combining heat from hot stones and Swedish massage create relaxing effect
on fatigued muscles and increase circulation.
- Reiki
A healing practice originated in Japan, and a very
gentle way to reduce stress. Since Reiki is not a massage, anyone (sick,
injured, young, or old) can receive Reiki to relax and improve the innate
ability of healing.
- Office Chair Massage
A therapist will come to a group of people in a
workplace and give a 10-20 minute massage on neck, shoulders, back,
and arms.
- Party & Event Pakages Prices
available upon request.
.
- Easy Chair Massage Class
This class will teach you not only how to
give but also receive a massage in a seated position mostly on the neck
and shoulder areas. Through hands-on practice in class, you will learn
how to apply basic Western and Eastern massage techniques safely and
effectively. We will also cover acupressure points for headaches and
sinus problems. Class is offered through McHenry County College. Please
